I blogged the heck out of those months, recording everything and sharing it to help other parents prepare and cope.
Having two under two gets terrible press. Mothers and fathers share their lovely news and are told how they’ll never sleep again, how it’ll be a ‘total nightmare’ and ‘we had two under two – good luck, you’ll need it!’.
People like this need to be chucked into Room 101 along with people who ask ‘Are you STILL pregnant’ when you’re 10 days overdue.
This blog was created as the antidote to all this bad press and, because of that, I got a lot of fantastic feedback. So I decided to strip out the best posts and publish them. You can buy the book here. It can be read on most smartphones, tablets and ereaders.
Here’s what some people have had to say:
“Loved the honesty of this book with good advice without the usual preaching.” *****
“Two under two is packed full of fantastic tips and good humour” *****
“Author tells of how she deals with situations rather than telling you what you should do which is very refreshing.” *****
“I’ve found myself revisiting favourite bits over and over when I feel in need of a kindred spirit and some no nonsense advice to get me through the tough times, and to get the most out of the good times – just a lovely book.” *****
Bye, bye blog
The blogging has dried up as my eldest is 2.5 years old. I don’t have two under two any more but I went through it, I loved it and I hope my experiences help to prepare others and allow them to enjoy preparing for baby number two, rather than being terrified.
Congratulations on your growing family!
